Post MoCCAfest

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by my table during MoCCA Arts Festival this past weekend! I always enjoy talking to people about my comics and my artwork and it really means a lot to me when people like my work enough to buy some.

Since several people wanted to know how I made my tetraflexagon comic, I will write up and post a tutorial/instructions soon.

MoCCA Festival (B129)

Look for me at table B129 during MoCCA Festival this coming weekend (April 6+7) at Metropolitan West (West 46th Street at 12th Avenue – across from Intrepid). Show hours are 11am-7pm Saturday, 11am-6pm Sunday. $

I will be debuting a tetraflexagon comic entitled “Who’s On First” which is my Origami Comics version of the classic comedy routine.

FanFaireNYC (Feb. 16-17 at Art & Design H.S.)

On February 16-17, I will be exhibiting at FanFaireNYC, a fundraising festival run by the Art & Design High School PTA. HSAD is located at 245 East 56th Street. Show hours from 10am-6pm each day.

I am now accepting commissions which can be picked up at this show (contact me to discuss specifics and pricing). I will probably also be doing some of my “penny-per-second” speed sketching at the table if you want to make an appointment.

This year’s special guests are Art Spiegelman and Neal Adams (both alumni). See website for more info about admission pricing (2-day pass is $20 but there are one-day options and discounts for students, teachers, HSAD alumni), panels/workshops, cosplay contest, exhibitors and guests.

This is a small festival with content geared toward young and artists but also great for those who don’t like the crush of the big conventions. I am NOT an HSAD alum but I’ve been attending their twice-annual Draw-A-Thons for several years and am glad to support the school and its students by exhibiting.

Draw-A-Thon 10
